HI AND WELCOME!

I’m Marilia (pronounced Mah-rill-ee-ahh) but you can call me Mari!  I’m a wife, mother, foodie, blogger, photo taker, fitness enthusiast but most of all a baking savage with a love of chocolate.

My earliest memories in the kitchen would be watching my mom prepare these amazing dishes and desserts for the holidays and soon enough I was helping her along the way.  Ever since then I was hooked but my love for baking really kicked in after I got married 16 years ago to my husband (and certified taste tester) Jeremy.  I mean a way to a man’s heart is his stomach; am I right?

For me it’s all about experimenting with different flavours and textures while keeping it simple.  Sometimes is works and at times it doesn’t and that’s ok.

I hope to share with you that all you need is the confidence and a few simple recipes to get you started on your baking journey.  So join me and lets have some sweet fun!
