Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies
This is my go to recipe when I’m in need of cookies, they are chewy with crisp edges and loaded with both semi-sweet and milk chocolate chips.
Hi everyone I hope you all are enjoying your day and accomplishing great things.
So let’s talk about probably the most famous and loved cookie all around, Chocolate Chip Cookies. I mean they are the best, am I right and when you eat them out of the oven all warm and gooey they just make everything better. The chewy bite the puddles of oozing melted chocolate (drooling already) and the crispy edges.
Well this is my go to recipe when it comes to chocolate chip cookies; I’m always finding ways on improving it and that means lots of cookies to be had in this household (not complaining). It’s actually the base I use for most of my cookies; I just add different ingredients to it from nuts, peanut butter and pretzels to different candies. It uses melted butter, it helps the cookies spread more for that crispy chewy texture and it combines both semi-sweet and milk chocolate chips. I mean who doesn’t love more chocolate in their cookies. You can also use chucks or baking wafers if you’d like.
I take the time to really mix the butter and sugars for a light fluffy consistency. It really makes a difference and you can never over mix the wet ingredients only the dry.
I use a large scoop but depending on how big you want them you can use any size scoop you prefer.
These are always a hit around our house and can never make enough of these and they go fast. I hope you try with your family and enjoy as much as we do.
Happy baking you all,
XOXO Mari!

- Preheat your oven to 350°F and line to baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside. In a bowl mix flour, baking soda and salt and set aside.
- In your mixing bowl mix together butter and both sugars on medium speed for a few minutes making sure to stop and scrape down the sides in between.
- Add both eggs and vanilla and mix for another 2-3 mins.
- With the mixer on low slowly add in you dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Then add in chocolate chips and M&M"s and mix for another 10 secs making sure not to over mix.
- With a large (3 oz.) scoop, scoop dough on to parchment lined cookie sheets and here you can add more chocolate chips and M&Ms on top.
- Bake for 10-12 mins until golden brown edges. For gooey cookie take them out earlier at about 9 mins, for crispier cookies leave them in longer. They do continue to bake while they cool so you don't want to over bake. Once you take them out let them cool on sheet for 3 mins before transferring to a cooling rack.
