Nutella Swirl Pumpkin Blondies

These Nutella Swirl Pumpkin Blondies are ready for fall; soft, chewy and full of warm fall flavours; these are sure be a favourite fall recipe in your household.

Anyone who knows me knows I love anything with chocolate and well it doesn’t get anymore chocolatey then a good fudge brownie. Chewy and fudgy mmmmm so good and hard to resist, but you know what else is good the brownie’s cousin blondies. These too are amazing, they are soft and chewy and flavourful; this recipe is no exception.

Why You Will Love These Blondies

  • They are soft and chewy always.
  • They are packed full of flavour from the pumpkin spice.
  • They are super easy to make.
  • Oh and did I mention the Nutella, yessss swirled into batter I mean who doesn’t love Nutella..?

What You Will Need For This Recipe

  • Butter- melted unsalted of course.
  • White and Brown Sugar- I like the white for a little crisp and brown for chew and softness.
  • Eggs and Oil- these add moisture and fat for more chew.
  • Vanilla- for flavour.
  • Pumpkin Puree- don’t need too much here just 1/2 a cup.
  • Salt- always to offset sweet.
  • Pumpkin Spice- for that warm fall flavour. Don’t like pumpkin spice no problem cinnamon works great here too.
  • Flour- I use All Purpose here, just be sure to measure correctly.
  • Nutella- this is of course optional but man it sure does make them soooooo much better.

FAQ’s

Why are my blondies dry?

Well overbaking them does make them dry. I typically take these out at the 25-26 minute mark, they are still a little jiggly in middle. Remember they continue to bake as they cool so if you want that fudgy texture take them out earlier.

How do I store them?

These keep fresh on the counter in airtight container for 2 days or in the fridge for 5 days. You can also slice them and freeze them for up to 2 months in airtight container or zip lock.

Do I have to add Nutella?

Not at all you can omit the Nutella entirely and it’s just an awesome Pumpkin Spice Blondie or you can add chocolate chips or even white chocolate chips if you prefer.

What’s in Pumpkin Spice?

It does vary by brand but it usually consists of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and cloves. To make your own combine 1 tbsp of cinnamon and 1 tsp each of nutmeg, ginger and cloves.
